The difference is the amount of time you must wait before your first shower. While classic tans must be left on for 8–12 hours, rapid tans allow you to rinse off in as little as 1–5 hours.

Because rapid formulas rely on a faster-penetrating active ingredient, your rinse time is what determines your final color. Leaving the solution on for 2 hours yields a light tan, 3 hours gives a medium color, and 4 hours results in a dark glow.

It depends on your lifestyle and what you prefer. If you’re super tight on time and want the flexibility to rinse within a few hours, a rapid tan might be better. But if you have more time a classic tan can provide a deeper richer color.

At Skintique we offer complimentary pasties, disposable thongs, hair nets, and fun tanning stickers. If you prefer no tan lines it is okay to wear nothing or if you want specific tan lines we recommend bringing your favorite bikini top. (we encourage bikinis with no strings at the back of the neck or hips because it interferes with the spray tan.)
